The U.S.-American slang (which wasn't present in the first part) in this sequel makes the story hard to understand for the rest of the world and thus ruins the gameplay.

Antheads reuses most of the background graphics and gameplay elements from the original. It's also pretty schlocky: While I can suspend my disbelief when being confronted with giant ants, people mutating into ant-headed monsters seems silly to me.

Shorter and more adrenalinic than the first It Came From The Desert, Antheads added the shocking feature of the inhabitant turning into antmen. It was also cool to be the rude and strong Brick Nash for once instead of the heroic but less imposing Prof. Greg. The hospital plot was intriguing and forced you to escape succesfully from the building, so you had better made a lot of practice in the first game! I eventually managed to overcome the ugly ants and their human followers, and I wish there was an It Came III.

The safe numbers are entered by scrolling to a number and pressing fire button. There is a pling sound and a flash if it's correct. If you enter a wrong number (e.g. Press fire and there's no pling) you must reset the safe by turning the wheel around one turn without pressing fire.

Then you can try again.

I am still yet to finish this one, never really understood how the safe worked. The game itself was just as good as the original but the Pez idea was a little silly.

Great game, but I never completed it due to the fact that i couldn't understand how to open the safe in the hospital. I collected the safe code putting together the numbers that various citizens told me, but in the end I really wasn't able to understand how to enter those numbers in the safe... I also checked a youtube video... No way! I am a great fan of ICFTD and it's a shame for me that in all those years I'm still stuck with this!!

Worth pointing out that this was an expansion and not a full game. It's always criticised for being too much like the original. Bring it on I say, what you get here is a whole new storyline, effectively doubling the longevity of the original game as you try to figure everything out a second time. You're playing a different character this time around, too, which completely alters the dynamic of your interactions with the Lizard Breath locals.

There might be less sub-plots this time around, but this is balanced by the extra action, with the Ant-Heads and the safecracking sequence. In particular, the Ant-Head reveals were brilliant, with the screen glowing red and that huge siren sound .

Not a sequel but still an equal. 10/10.

Excellent game although there's no much new when comparing to part one...

A great game with nice GFX, good storyline to keep you amused and on your edge of seat with those giant ants trying to take over.
