I like how open the game's creator is about this just being another derivative platformer: It's right there in the title screen! The backstory is ludicrous and, thankfully, tongue-in-cheek. Giddy himself is just the creepiest thing: an egg-shaped creature with huge hands that are continually stuck in the "finger pistol" position. General weirdness aside, the game is actually quite good. Graphics are nicely drawn and all characters have that cute look that we've come to expect from games like these. All music tracks fit that cute platformer style. Controls are smooth. There are no loading times between screens. There are even a few puzzles to spice up the platforming. I was pleasantly surprised by this free and short game.
