I have always had mixed feelings about this Jurassic Park game. By one hand, I prefer the Amiga/PC version. The Megadrive versions (including JP: Rampage) are only run'n gun games, well designed but repetitive. SNES version is more interesting but sadly unplayable without cheat as there is no password system. Amiga/PC version is more an action/adventure game with puzzles to solve. Graphics are well drawn, musics are just astonishing. They're not based on the movie soundtrack but they are very atmospheric, recreating the heavy atmosphere expected. And the 3D based sequences are a good surprise, a real 'tour de force' from Ocean, especially on ECS systems. A password system permits to restart the game from the last level explored. They really wanted to create an ambitious game, trying to follow the highness of the Spielberg's movie.

But by the other hand, The game is difficult, there are some bugs and the level design is hazardous. The scrolling does not follow and the character is often at the edge of the screen. It can be really frustrating, especially when you die arbitrarily because of the T-Rex or after a too high fall, with important loading times.

By the way, this Jurassic Park game remains a nice aventure if you play it using WHDLoad.

This game was great, and the sound built a cool atmosphere.

2 issues. Unforgibveably bad slowdown in the 2d parts, and also the 2d parts went on and on at times and got rather dull.

Nice gfx , atmospheric soundtrack and ok 3D sections. But the game itself wasn't that exciting and the 2D parts had some serious slowing down" problems.

Well the 3D sections are pretty nice and its quite cool they retained it for the Amiga version. I dont really like the 'overhead' gameplay though. Its slow, boring, tedious. The game does look pretty good!

I got this AGA version for my birthday that year. I really liked the extra color usage. I played it quite a bit and felt it was a real fun challenge. To me, the dinos looked and moved pretty neat. The 3D portions were a nice surprise too. Nothing to complain about.

The easy thing had been to create another platformer more but instead of that this ambitious adventure was created. The atmosphere is cool and only for that reason it deserves to be played.Puzzles are original unlike action part is absolutely easy and boring and that united to the slowness of this version becomes unbearable.JP remember to Unreal to me because they are two games united in one although in JP first the above view levels are completed and later 3D levels.

Arcade part was a fun. 3d-part - i've never seen, because cracked version was damaged. This game looked best on PC, unfortunately

What's going on here, why are you guys so negative about this game? I think it's a quality game, fun and addictive and with great graphics too.

Yeah again another dismissal Ocean film tie release, they had repeat below par games for films that were literally getting released on the screens, this bored the hell outta me and I wasn't impressed at all

Boooring as hell. Everytime I give it a try I become sleepy and after the play I am so tired and exhausted as if I was digging a hole in a backyard. The game has great graphics, especially in the further levels, very atmospheric music but the gameplay really sucks. 3D section is a disaster. Although it looks quite nice (for its times) and the movement seems smooth but pressing the key gives you so much speed that you feel like jumping not walking. Quite average game. Huge one, not for one night but anything worth remembering. For mega fans of Jurassic Park only. AGA version is pretty much slower than ECS but looks more neat.
