Let's be honest - this is one of the most annoying and illogical adventure games. Core Design should be really full of shame that they produced such a bad game and I don't understand all this overhyped reviews in Amiga press back in its heyday.

First of all - the interface. It is original but it is a curse at the same time. Number of possibilities that you can do with an object does not correspond with logical solution that is really needed. Because of this the player is perplexed why things do not work and he resigns looking for another solution.

The next problem lays in the fact that you don't know what is on the screen until you get close to the object and only then it can be visible from the interface perspective. Bearing in mind that there is no text in this game it is very difficult to figure out what is really needed and what is in the location. Maybe you don't get stuck but certainly get irritated.

Graphics are reduced version from PC and unfortunately it lost a lot - starting with lack of colours and visibility of crucial objects on the screen. Sound is also ridicilous. Some small samples of background sounds and stupid words "Hi" and "Help" spoken by the main character is all you will hear. There is absolutely no music which is an original sin when it comes to adventure games.

Next thing is the existence of arcade sections. Dogdy mouse pointer and blocky scrolling make some pixel perfect sections almost impossible to get through.

I still remember when i first loaded it, it looked like a VGA game on my 1084S. Excellent graphics, below average sound. Gameplay was easy at start but insane as you progress. Magazines of the time wrote it was a 64 color game which i think is not true, it must be 32 colors. 7/10

Far too illogical (Mr. Spock) for my tastes. I mean the whole game didn't make sense to begin with and the puzzles were utterly without coherence. Not a very good adventure game.

Ha, this game was great, made a change from Monkey Island.

I seem to remember a bit with hitting a robot over the head with a sack who was guarding a ship and the Mr Benn clothes shop.

My first adventure game Completed with solution, but it was worthy. Great humor and funny characters to meet. It is shame not playing in it

No dialogues, except for the guard with digitized "SHUT UP!". Very good gfx, and a strange plot. Can't miss in a good adventure's fan curriculum.

Impossible to complete without a walkthrough, but engaging, atmospheric and enjoyable.

A strange adventure game that had no dialogues at all. It looked very good though and was quite funny at times. Too bad some of the puzzles were almost impossible to solve, due to the lack of logic required for them and the somewhat challenging game-interface. Still worthy of 8 points at least.

Loved this game when it arrived on the Amiga scene, it had nice GFX and interesting storyline to it. I was playing both this and Lure of the Temptress at the time. Adventures on the Amiga were great days

You have to give credit for British game makers. They tried really hard to come up with adventure games on par with US offerings but never really succeeded. Curse of Enchantia is one those efforts. The game has its moments and it's rather good looking thanks to scanned graphics but A) it's not genuinely fun, B) some of the puzzles were really far-fetched and C) the user interface, while original and genuinely trying something new, was too clumsy and intrusive.

Not the best, but good enough and interesting adventure game.

There were some non-logic problems, not easy to solve (especially on scrappyard), but some nice moments, too. Remember the vampire-torturing?

So many hundreds of colours on screen in the basic ecs/ocs machines

Looks really good, plays nicely

Somehow underrated. Not as bad as people said it was.
