Gameplay in Monster Business is reminiscent of arcade classics like Bubble Bobble and Dig Dug. You clear levels by shooting monsters that roam the platforms. If the monsters get hit, they inflate and then float towards the top of the screen. As they drift off, they drop bonus items like buckets, screwdrivers, hammers, saws or shovels. The more you collect, the more points you get.

There are 45 levels in total and 3 tile sets: caves, factory and forest. The levels start out fairly easy and then gradually increase both in difficulty and in size. New monster types are introduced over the course of the game. The gameplay stays the same throughout, which might lead to making things feel a bit repetitive. Overall Monster Business is an enjoyable rendition of classic game mechanics.

Addictive game with high replayability factor. Big sprites and very nice chip music. Repetitive, yes, but funny.

Could have been much better if gameplay was a bit more polished.

Monster Business was rather enjoyable at first but quickly became too frustrating and even annoying. My brother and my neighbour (curiously now my brother-in-law... Who would have thought?) loved this game very much, though...

An okay game, but the levels are a bit too repetitive alot of the time.
