I stumbled on this game during my excavation of some cover CDs. I found it quite interesting in terms of the engine which is smooth and fairly realistic. As for a shareware game it is quite an achievement but unfortunately it was unnoticed.

I consider playing Racing Maniacs with a friend to be one of the most satisfying multiplayer experiences I ever had on any system. The framerate is super smooth, the controls work very well once you get used to them, and the damage system adds a lot of tension to the races.
