Very poor jerky scrolling. The PC DOS port far better, sadly the Amiga version is even worse than the Megadrive and Snes versions.

This game is really NOT cool. Although the main sprite thinks so. Super boring repetitive levels of this generic platformer bring nothing that would keep you interested, very suspicious scrolling routine is really unpleasant for eyes and the music will make you fall asleep.

Generic and technically flawed jump'n run that is nonetheless quite playable and fun for a while. Its scrolling was not really good even on the Megadrive but here it's the frame rate that is severely impaired. Anyways is still a decent platform to play on the Amiga (6/10).

You're probably better of playing the version for Sega Mega Drive / Genesis. The Amiga version has worse graphics, choppy scrolling and jerky conrols.

Great sound and music but was rather jerky, the backgrounds were dumbed down compared to the MegaDrive version and the graphics themselves were unrefined. I always thought that the Amiga was capable of much better, given that the overall pace of this game wasn't that fast. As it stands, this is just a bit above average.
My brother disagreed with me and loved it dearly.

Competent platformer that needed more time and polish before being released, especially with the bland unfinished backdrops on level 2!... 7/10

I recall playing this for hours, it was just a lot of platform-y fun! Gfx and sfx were functional but gameplay won this one over.

Awful port. I didn't even like the console versions, and this takes everything that I hated about them and dumps it all into one of the most badly-programmed engines that I've ever seen. The graphics are decent enough (if nothing special) in screenshots, but the scrolling and movement are choppy enough to rival the 8-bit versions of Astro Marine Corps. And the sound samples are horrible. The Amiga could have had a much, much, much better version of this game.

I found the graphics on Cool Spot so so and also the music and effects were not that special. But the thing which I disliked the most was the shocky gameplay. Not very bad, but not special in any way, I think.
Graphics: 6/10
Sound: 6/10
Playability: 5/10
Overall: 5/10

I remember loving the music to this game! The game play itself didn't leave much of an impression since I don't remember a lot of it.

A layed back platformer with a red spot designed to shift 7up drinks. But guess what, people liked it and I do too. It quite good to tell you the truth. Try it yourself, you'll see.

Yeah Cool Spot was a nice little platofrm game to see on the Amiga as it proved to be a hit on the Sega platform, it had decent GFX and sound

This is so 90's! A mascot for Seven Up gets a life in a game. Oh dear. But the game is rather fun. Overrated, yes, but okay. The conversion job from Megadrive could have been better though. A bit too choppy and colourless.

If they'd've compromised on the detail in the backgrounds, or programmed it using Amiga hardware a little better, or done an AGA version, this could've been much better. As it stands it's a nightmare to play. The sad truth is that the Megadrive version is the one to play, and it was over-rated in this form.

I remember the magazines way over-rating this game, Its quite good, but I think its plays rather clumsy, and collision detection is strange, as sometimes you gotta be a certain clear level to shoot a monsters as you can't shoot through sand.

Pretty average - If I hadn't paid for it I wouldn't have played it for long.
