Pretty good, weird and varied game. I can see the similarity to "Gods" on the first level, but I have never played beyond level 1 of Gods and you don't pick up keys in the rest of this game

I love this game, such a dark atmosphere. The third level in the woods always creeped me out, with the evil branch men.
The final level spoils this game though.

Likeabe, due at least to the unusual size of the sprites. Some of the Sprite control takes a bit of getting used to. The graphics are similar to Gods (as mentioned), but I rather like both of these games--original or no. One thing I didn't really care for was the sprite's movement up ladders--aside from that, it was enjoyable.

One of my favorite games.
Good graphics and detailed backgrounds.
Good atmosphere.

Similar to Gods, but with soporifically boring levels and terrible jumping controls. At least the graphics are better - were it not for the fact that the same colors are reused for literally everything (indeed, there is an entire level that uses the "flesh" tone), I wouldn't be able to tell that they only use 16 colors.
Back to the gameplay. As mentioned before, Deliverance's level designs and controls are its main flaws. The levels are huge, but they lack the variety and character that was Gods's saving grace. Nothing ever changes - the monotonous scenery only heightens the feeling of boredom that permeates the tediously repetitive level designs. And the controls, while providing the ability to jump vertically that was noticeably missing from Gods - to that game's detriment - are atrocious. It often feels as if you can only jump vertically, as the Stormlord jumps very high without actually moving very far at all. It's almost a game of chance when you're attempting to cross a pit, desperately hoping that he won't bonk his head on the ceiling halfway across - which he invariably does, forcing you to slog through the quarter of the level that you just crossed.
In the end, Deliverance is a game that had a lot of potential - if it had kept the things that Gods did so wonderfully right, while fixing its silly design errors, it could have been something special. Sadly, though, that's not the case.

First level - nice. Second level - superb. Third level - nice. Fourth level - craaaaap!

Nice graphics with interesting enemies, unfortunately the gameplay does not reach the level of GODS. Anyway entertaining for wasting time.

A hard game that is rewarding once you fight your way past the first few stages. The bosses look great and I really appreciate the mature theme that this game offers. A classic game but maybe not one of the greatest.

Agreed with everyone who commented on the 3rd screenshot. It does so look like our hero is being homo erotically raped by the demon. Creepy.

The screenshot the 3rd one? Yes it is very homosexual.

Hmm, didn't think much to this. Although the gameplay was easier than Gods, I found it to be too repetitive and laborious.
P.s. Is it me or does the 3rd screenshot look extremely gay?

Well, at least it's more playable than GODS

Awesome end level bosses, nice GFX, violent all right, but cannot be compared to Gods due to the poor amount of secret stuff, which is exactly why Gods rules in comparison.
In that one, sometimes you have to struggle to stay awake.

The first noticeable element when you start the game is the size and design of the sprites. They are really big and well designed, the overall design of the game is very pleasant. The characters animations are also pretty good. Scrolling is a bit hashed and not very tho and playability is OK but not perfect.
Apart from that it's a very classic arcade game with no element wich makes it unforgetable. Simple and efficient, a good production imho.

A 21st Century game like this, must be good, like the 80's Hewson games....
Anyway... I don't compare this one with GODS. They are both great, but different. This is an example of a 21st Century game, not too great, or even a pure crap. It's OK. It's worth to play at all.
8/10
(that 3rd screen sound a little "gay" to me

Another example of how people have put GODS on a pedestal, and won't accept that it wasn't the most original and brilliant game ever. This isn't spectacular, but it's different enough from GODS not to be a straight clone or rip-off, as it's more of an out-and-out action game.

Erm... Its actually nothing like Gods whatsover! Anyway, it's a very competent platformer with nice graphics and SFX, not a classic but fun nonetheless.

This was never meant to be a Gods rip off people, it was suppose to be a sequel to Stormlords, look it up first before accusing. The game itself had nice GFX and decent sound, and I liked the music at the beginning very atmospheric.
A decent game from 21st Century who also brought us the delight of their Pinball Series

Before anyone accuses this game of just being a Gods imitation, remember that it's the unofficial sequel to Stormlords. That places it in a pedigree predating Gods.

Shameless Gods rip-off, yes, but with rather nice and large graphics. There were some totally gratuitous nude (and huge) female figures in the background of the first level but what would be better way to keep you playing than to flash some flesh, eh?

Another Gods rip off just like Deep Core. Immitation, flattery etc etc

It's a Gods wannabe!!
