I adored the first two in the series and Dark Queen has some clever ideas going on, like the underwater kingdom and the elf woods, but it doesn't always feel particularly "dragonlance" and the difficulty is absolutely insane.
Hordes of level-draining undead and magic-resistant draconians are the norm making the game an endurance round.

A good ending for the Krynn Trilogy that started so weak with "Champions of Krynn". Along with "Secret of the Silverblades" and "Pools of Darkness" this game allowed the player to save and load games at any time (except during combat). PC users had this luxury only with the Dark Queen.

As was the case with the latter gold boxes, graphics were a rushed port of quite a good-looking PC original but otherwise Dark Queen of Krynn on Amiga had slight improvements over its predecessors. Loading times were fewer and with an extra disk drive the disk swapping was kept to minimum. Also, user-interface was slightly revamped for the better. But why all this long-awaited user-friendliness was saved only for the last gold box? Anyway, a worthwhile ending to the great series!

Is that the Dark Queen of Krynn in that picture there? Wow she's a fox! I wouldn't mind spending some time under her rule. I once bought my girlfriend an outfit like that but she wouldn't wear it.
