I still think after all this time this is one of the best shooters ever on the amiga, easier than the arcade counterpart and better on the playability side, and technically is very good, excellent music too, today I played it for a long while and I enjoyed it a lot, just like in the old days

Love this game. And its got better music than the arcade too. All the irem conversions turned out good on the Amiga for some reason. The ones I remember anyway.

The Amiga version is close to the arcade, and actually it's much harder!
Amiga 6/10 (for the garish colors, the playbility and no possible sfx and music)
Arcade 9/10 a cool shooter

Pretty green and blue dragon! With the little man riding atop!
I enjoyed this but had to switch to cheat mode after awhile to 'see' the action flow better.

Ok graphics aren't particularly remarkable, but any other coin-op element is brilliantly survived on 16- (and 8-) bit. Sprites are big, gameplay is strong, moves are accurate as the increasing shooting power and changing dragons colours...
Good.

I am not sure but unless my memory serves me wrong the C64 was more "controllable".

I think it is a great conversion instead, and it is not hard, it is possible to finish with no probs
it was easier than the coin-up and I finished it a lot of times, recently a friend of mine asked to play it for some reason, it's a very good game even under the graphic side, with a very nice parallax effect.

The arcade ver. Of this game was excelent!!! It feels a little "flat" on the Amiga by comparison. For some reason I must choose betwean sound and music whenever I play dragonbreed. The game itself is *very* hard. The enemys swarms towards you, and your puny little arm cannon takes forever to finish of one of your above average sized monsters. You can protect yourself by using the dragon as shield, but if the enemy monsters are great in numbers, whitch usually is the case, they will batter through and get you. I never made it past level 3

Excellent coin-op conversion!! I remember playing this back in 1989 or 1990. Later, in 2004 or so, i played it again and was surprised how good the game still was! Kick ass!

This game is one of those that seems good in theory, but is less good in execution. It's fun for awhile, but awkward controls (especially when dismounting the dragon) and so-so graphics keep this game from being anything really special.

Graphics were quite sad when compared to the arcade original, but this was playable enough to provide an enjoyable shooting experience and a decent conversion.
