Loved the old school game-play that reminded me of The Bard's Tale games. Good story and Awesome RPG.

Old-skool gameplay and graphics that look like a lazy PC port, still, Dragon Wars has a gripping and motivating story, and it's great fun to play. This is one of these RPGs were you have to read the corresponding passages in a paper book when having encounters in the game world, I like this. Dragon Wars is an underrated gem, play this if you like classic RPGs!

Awesome RPG, spent so much time on this on C64 and Amiga. Great and fun story. Nothing like EOTB except for the "3D" view perhaps, but has many similarities to the Bards Tale series. BTW: There IS an auto map.

Good RPG in a similar style as EOTB. I bought it in a bundle with some other games back then. It has a clever copy protection, instead of displaying text on screen it sometimes makes references to the manual. So you really need the manual. Afair there's no automap so you draw it yourself. Definitely not something for casual gamers, you'll need to spend quite some time with it before it's fun.

The reason that I rate this game higher now than then is quite simple...the music. Get yourself Deliplayer (+music file) and just listen to the 3 tracks available and you'll see what I mean.
At the time, this game was an abomination played from floppy with constant disk access. Installed to HD the game became better, but never seemed to live up to the likes of MM2 or Eye of the Beholder.
