First came across this on an old ST/Amiga Format coverdisk. Loved it straight away. Awesome sound effects, smooth movement and the graphics are just perfect. Such a small executable as well.

Amoeba Invaders was in virtually every PD disk series, in every cover CD series, and in every Internet software archive I have seen. It was even commercially released as part of the compilation International Arcade Action. It is one of the most widely available freeware games for the Amiga ever. While probably not as special as its spread might indicate, it is a competent Space Invaders clone.
