The slow pace of the game and the way the main character moves can remind "Gods". However the game itself is far behind the classic title. Nice graphics and good animation would be a pretty solid base for a puzzle platformer however the creators hadn't had any good ideas how to use it. If you forget about any similarities to other titles, "Elvira: The Arcade Game" is rather an average title that becomes boring after two or three runs. There is not much to explore and not much new to see or experience.

Not bad... But boring after long time

A nice graphic and technical enough to service a terribly boring and repetitive game. Dispersive in its huge maps, in short, quite frustrating. Too bad, because the foundations for an excellent title were all, without missing a character design by bomb! Shame.

Almost identical to the ST (again!) although it was pretty and playable enough until I could not get off the Ice World at all, or on the commy 64s! I still don't know what to do on that level to this day! An average platformer.

I always wondered if Elvira felt cold in the snowy levels with that (lack of) clothes.

I actually saw elvira in las vegas, and briefly considered asking her about this game. Then I got a beer instead.

Perhaps I was just attracted to the lovely and poignant graphics, the smooth scrolling...or maybe just Elvira's chest...but I liked this platformer. Not as special as other games, but still decent in its own right. As has been pointed out, walking around not knowing what to do is a weakness of this game, but then again the graphics are so lovely, I honestly didn't mind going for long strolls and enjoying the scenery. Elvira's sprite is wonderfully animated, and the backgrounds are gorgeous. An above average platformer with decent appeal to fans of the platform genre and casual gamers alike.

Cool graphics and intro, fantastic animated Elvira. But lots of walking around without knowing very well what to do...
