It looks like a copy of early soccer games before Sensible era with much more polished graphics and smoother animation. It is barely playable but looks nice. Interesting are "supernatural" abilities that make this game more like a Speedball than soccer. If things were done differently maybe it could work however even as some sort of a pastiche, these things don't play their part. This game has nothing to offer.

Amiga Power - the Amiga magazine that I respected the most - said that this was "Speedball 2 with football sprites". I love football (not soccer. Soccer doesn't exist), I loved Speedball 2 and I loved Amiga Power. How could this fail? I don't know. But it did.

Speedball 2 with football sprites this is NOT.

For some reason this was a lot of fun with nice, bold colourful gfx. Thats about it really.

Very nice graphics and fun arcade gameplay, just played this now and then between bouts of swos.

I used to play the demo given away on a cover disk (man, Amiga magazines were ace), and played it with my bro. Not the most popular football game, but I had the most fun with this one due to it's polished interface, and ease of control. Give it a go!

Not great. Very arcadey feel- cute to look at, but not much in terms of playability- awkward learning curve, anonymous players, irritating pictures for 'highlights' (eg after a goal is scored). Feels very detached from reality, and difficult to like.

Really good fun and sadly overlooked by many. A certain games magazine described ES as "Speedball 2 in shorts", which sums it up. A more brutal, arcade-y alternative to Sensi. (Don't even mention that abomination known as Kick Off.)
