Not a bad little platformer here. Just a shame about the backdrops - there weren't any basically.... 6/10

Quite playable platformer that is partially spoiled by bad scrolling and frame rate. At the end of the day it's still fun (6/10).

A very nice game with solid level design. Graphics are colorful and musics are impressive. But sadly, it's again a Megadrive conversion. No parallax, maybe because of time limit to adapt it on Amiga with difficulties to convert a code initially created for Megadrive hardware (some graphical effects are missing too). The character acceleration is a real gameplay mistake, above all on Amiga as the animation is in 25 fps. The game doesn't like 60Hz (huge slowdowns while playing) and it's a shame, because it should be really more playable, like on Genesis, the US Megadrive. And as the second button isn't support, you can't control the direction you fire.
However, although less effective than on the Megadrive, Global Gladiators is a funny game on Amiga, not really innovative, but pleasant to play. If you are not put off by the idea of collecting McDonald's "double-ark" as bonus

Havent played this, but i was watching both megadrive and amiga versions. Why didnt this one include the megadrive parallax? I mean it was only 2 colurs. The Amiga could of done that?!

I only played the demo of this, but was very impressed. It has good graphics; appealing and well drawn, with good animation. The movement of the character felt good, very important for a platformer, and the shooting of that gunk weapon is cool as well (makes the player slide back from the recoil). Good music and sound effects as well. I won't score it because I didn't have the full game but I was impressed, and don't think the description of it as a 'run of the mill' platformer is accurate. If this was an average platformer on the Amiga then we were spoilt!

This could have had parallax, just like the Genesis version; the two-tone background layers in that one were practically tailored to the Amiga's abilities.
The game itself? Well, I haven't played the Amiga port, but the Genesis version has large level designs, cool weapons, and nice music (considering the miserable Genesis sound chip). The only problem is that the main character's movement is all wrong - he moves agonizingly slowly before getting up to speed. What's the point? It only makes it harder to enjoy the things that the game does right.

Made for mc donald's but really a good game. Fine graphics and very good music. Animations are ok. So what?!

Very average game, nothing innovative. Good music but repetitive a lot.

Quite playable but it had that " thing" when the character turned that made me sick!

Was expecting crap, since branded games often were, but this one was quite un actually.

Better than it ought to have been allowed to have been, as a mcdonalds licence. More good Amiga music

I like this game, go around shooting baddies and collecting enough M's to complete the levels. Dodgy macdonalds aside this is an enjoyable fast and simple platform shooter.

Aah my all time favourite Amiga platform game. I remember I was pretty stunned the first time I played this game. Very enjoyable and the graphics really looked stunning to me, all those years back. I especially liked the cartoonish touch to this game. Although mcdonals food is definitely not my cup of tea haha

Its a bit of a con really splashing Mcdonalids on this when it doesn't even appeal, kids get duped into buying crap like this. Though then again from a marketing point of view they probably thought most kids will buy it if we have our name splashed all over. WRONG! This game was OK but not brilliant and is just a run of the mill platform game with no special efforts made. It had some nice GFX a times but thats about it, everything else was just plain boring

Conversion from Sega Megadrive. Very nice graphics and sprites... Ok sound... Nothing special really. Don´t know why Mcdonald´s is connected to this one. Commercial maybe... Nothing special as a game.
