It is a rip-off of Penguin-Kun Wars, but the developers made the effort to add a whole fantasy world around it, like in RPGs. Except all this work was for a sports/action game. I own the original and the manual tells you a background story along with a map and there was even a collectible figure in the box. Graphics and music are great for that time with details like taunting the opponent, although the game can be frustrating in later levels and the bonus games. As others pointed out it can be unfair once you're cornered, but it does have replay value.

An unusual, enjoyable little title with some charming graphics and a fun sense of humour. It can get absolutely maddening over long periods of play though, and some matches can seem to go on forever. That said, it's still well worth a play.

Looks like a remake/ripoff from the arcade game Penguin-Kun Wars (but a nice one).

Hehehe I remember this, was quite fun to play but its a bit dull to look at now though back then it was OK as well

One of the more original sports games - beating the later opponents was hard, and ultimately being knocked over repeatedly by your opponents perfectly placed kicks became too frustrating, but the excellent music and graphics kept the motivation high!

A two-player mode would've been a nice extra, it could be annoying when you got knocked down repeatedly with no chance to get back up, and you could occasionally perform a 'home run' to win the match when you clearly didn't quite have all 12 Beloms on your side. Otherwise though, great fun - one of the most original action games on the Amiga, full of character and atmosphere, and the action was fast-paced and thrilling.

Nice idea, but I just didn't get into it, because I didn't like it to much. The game is a little static. Graphics and sound are nothing special. Okay game...
Graphics: 7/10
Sound: 7/10
Playability: 6/10
Overall: 6/10

This is one of those weird games which is *much* more fun that you'd expect it to be... But at the same time much *less* fun than you think it should. It's a fantastic concept which works incredibly well, and is great fun to play... But something's missing. In hindsight a two-player mode (maybe via null-modem so both players can view things from their end) would have helped things along greatly. The graphics, though nice, looked incredibly washed-out, as well. An odd game - worth checking out for its originality alone. 7/10.
