The port to Amiga is disappointing: a perfect game on C64, on Amiga the graphics only slightly better, the FX are missing, loading times feel longer than they were on the 64.
Don't misunderstand: California Games is still a good game (7 points from me), but not the outstanding one as in the original (i think the C-64 version was the original).
But even with this deficits it is still great fun if you have some friends around.

A very original game. Expectional events make it unique and one of its kind (apart from the sequel) but somehow the game is not easy to play. First you have to struggle how to handle the event and when you manage to do it is not as easy as it supposed to. Still this is a good game and many people may easily enjoy playing it.

Quite entertaining and enjoyable little game. I also had it for the PC at the time and the Amiga version was far superior.

Not quite as good as the C64 version but a great und funny Amiga sports game though; still one of my favourites.

I personally prefer Winter Games by the same developer. I think the handling in the sporting events in California is a bit difficult to get the hang of. Driving the BMX bike is my favorite part of the game.

BMX for the win! The rest was ok, but I spend hours on the BMX part

Omg I never had the chance to play it at my Amiga...The pc version was soooo good back then even if I had to play it at an ancient PC with an orange screen...

Fantastic game, tho i prefered the master system version the most, then the c64 version., but this version along with the st is very good.

I mostly played this on the C64, but the Amiga version was just as good...if not a little better.

This has "classic" written all over it. Loved the skateboard and the surprises in the flying disc. It had also Kawasaki as sponsor, and today I have a Kawasaki... Years later, the ad worked
Let the good times roll!

Good fun. Particularly liked the BMX level. Some were better than others but overall it kept me coming back. Could never figure out the scoring basis in the surfing!

I actually enjoyed this game like I enjoyed Summer Games and Winter Games. Surfing, Skating, BMX and Footbag was my favourite events!
10/10

Not so interesting game from GAMES series than Winter Games or World Games but can't say that this is poor...

Too long loading times (even if you had the original copy). But otherwise this is of course fun... Sport games are not so easy to make. Here all events are quite nice. The style of graphics and musics fits game well.

California Games really got to be a great conversion. They managed to let the game feel similar to the brilliant C64 version. Absolutely wonderful

Great game. One of the few conversions that didn't got screwed up compared to the C=64 version.

Nice graphic sprites, but Skateboarding, Surfing is the most boring part of the game... Foot bag, BMX, flying disc and rollerskating is the best part of this game... If you like this you must play Winter games, World and Summer also... Great value anyway.

California Games - fond, fond memories of the foot bag game come rushing back. A series of great events, slightly tarnished for me by the skateboarding half-pipe which I could never figure out how to control.
