Once you get accustomed to the tricky control system and the frustration that comes with it during the first few plays, Hammerfist proves to be an ok action game with a few nice twists. It really hooked me back then and still does nowadays, though its sometimes rigid gameplay and slow reacting male character tend to make it all a bit tedious at times. Definitely not for everyone.

Amazing surprise for me. I bougth a compilation on eBay. Then i launched the game with no more expectation than to be in front of an other tiertex like arcade conversion. 2 hours later I was still on it. Very good surprise and discover for me om amiga in 2017!

Weird game, weird control, bad graphics (nearly the same as on C64), no fun.

If the controls weren't so complicated and the woman wouldn't bounce around with her few animation frames while jumping it would be more enjoyable. Basically you have to "solve a puzzle" on each screen, which mainly consists of destroying a computer or all enemies so you can move on.

Well I disagree with all of you. I've always loved this game- on the C64 as well. One of the most playable games ever with plenty always to do. The control system is very comprehensive and only frustrating to those with little skill and patience.
I've completed this load of times since 1991.
An old gem for sure... 8/10

Very tough action-adventure with some nice graphic but hard-to-manage controls. (68%)

Tried it yesterday for about 15 minutes, but absolutely have no idea what to do. I couldn't leave the first screen.

Preferred the commy 64 version although both were really similar. It was quite annoying regarding the control system and got really frustrating as you were bounced about the screen. I liked it though and played it the odd time.

Really let down by a badly thought-out control system.

I vaguely remember this game! If I could remember any details, whatsoever, I would relate them, too. Guess it made no lasting impression. Didn't you have to walk around starting fights with dinosaurs? Or am I way off. Or drunk?

This was supposed to be revolutionary, but ultimately fell short of its ambitions. Messy and quite boring, Hammerfist really didn't go anywhere and that was a pity, seeing how good the original idea was.
