Not the worst game I have seen on the Amiga to be honest. The pixel art is even pretty good. That first motorbike level likely turned away a lot of players. Bad controls and some obstacles are very difficult to avoid. You often have to come to a complete stop and clear rubble before you can proceed. If you haven't memorized the whole level or use save states, this gets frustrating really fast. The later platformer levels are better, albeit still not good. Near the end of the game, there is a level in which you fly in a weird contraption. It is the best part of Akira in my opinion. But because it is so late into the game, most players likely never saw it.

This is one of the worst Amiga games. It does not bring any entertainment and instead creates frustration and disappointment. I wonder how many people spent their hard-earned money only to see it was wasted like burning notes in the fire.

The CD32 deserved better than the 80% of the shite it had ported, especially from the likes of ICE and Flair!
This is truely one of the worst games I've ever had the misfortune to play!

This "game" is bad enough on its own, but the fact that it was meant as a tie-in to such an excellent movie is just insulting. Ugh.

From the intro and credits and so-on, you'd guess that 'Akira' is a bang-up game when it warms up to start. Then the game begins!
Hmm.
Ok, let's be nice. Mother always said, "If you can't say anything nice about an Amiga game, then don't say anything!"
Ok. I won't say anything.

Film was excellent, the game couldn't be worse! Terrible!!!

On its own, the game is wel below average.
But as an adaptation of one of the greatest animated movies of all time, it is God-aweful garbage, and worse still, a massive disgrace.
The game play is average, but the levels are simply not fun to play.
This is one of those games where one can and should use cheat codes, without feeling the least bit guilty.

This game is an absolute abomination. A complete and utter disgrace to the superb anime movie and graphic novels.

The best thing with the first release of the CD32 version was probably the T-shirt included with the game.
