Boring rubbish with bland backdrops and nonsensical gameplay.

It was actually very good and fun to play. Completed it several times back then. Today it might seem too short, but it wasn't a problem, the game was a lot of fun. Interesting blend of sidescroller and first person shooter.

Patience is the key when it comes to this game. Finished the first building without a scratch, then lost one life (frikkin mines) and got shot in the second building, didn't even see the bandits. Now I have to start the whole thing again; anyway you can finish this game in 20 minutes.
As a kid I didn't have a clue about mission objectives (I didn't speak english then

The game was supposed to be the sequel to the "Hostages" but ended up as a completely different game with different title. I guess it is good because it could have been shameful to have such a bad continuation to the pretty good game. "Alcatraz", no matter how fresh ideas it has, is a complete waste of time in the playability departament. It is too easy and too simple and is the type of the game for "one time" only.

The Gameplay was amazing in 1992. But actually I do really like the opening Soundtrack. One of the best which has ever been published! Thanks.

I didn't have access to the codes of the copy protection. I resorted to picking random symbols in the check after the intro. I noted down which ones didn't work and resetted the system after each try. I did this so often I was able to come up with a decent collection of correct codes which allowed me to succesfully pass the copy protection most of the time.

I worked on a small section of this game, converting it to MS-DOS. I am surpised there isn't a link to the PC version here.
It was a very good game and played well on the PC as well as the Amiga.

Nice game, played it a lot with my brother. The fact that you could play the game with 2 players was awesome! The hiding was cool, also the first person mode was something new...

Enjoyed this one with my brother. Really liked the ability to hide in the shadows. Maybe thats why i like MGS so much.

This game is very similar to "Hostages" but it's not a bad thing. Very playable game - I've finished it many times.

Liked the stealthy element of this one, very like their other creation, Hostages. The fact that the levels changed perspective was an added bonus but could I finish the damn thing? Not a chance! Still, an original concept and playable to boot.

This was a good game from what I can remember, loved playing it & graphics were decent, sound was OK but gameplay was in-depth. One minute you would be side scrolling killing enemies, then switching into 3rd person perspective action & vice versa again. Very much like Metal Gear Solid although not as good but the idea is there
