Bubba'n'Stix on the CD32 is a very nice game. This is unsurprising, being the floppy version source that good. It also has some fair CD-specific enhancements, like the possibility of hearing music and sound effects together. But how developers managed to worsen the controls in this version is beyond belief (7/10).

Bubba 'n' Stix is a very challenging game with unbelievably smooth animation and fluid gameplay. It may look as the game for children but believe me - it is not. The game is not easy, in fact it is one of the most difficult games I have played. It requires a lot of practice, good knowledge of the levels (this is why there is only five of them) and a lot of patience. There are some irritating moments like Waldo beam teleporter in level 2, green baloons in level 3, shooting cameras in level 5 but still you may find these game interesting due to a very original concept and presentation. A bit of a shame that sound fx and music can not be played at the same time. This problem does not occur in CD32 and personally I think this is why the latter is a bit easier (sounds are crucial in some tricky moments).
Unfortunately, CD32 version does not use any of the special features of this machine (the graphics are exactly the same as ECS version) apart from CD tracks containing an in-game music and animated introduction.

This version has a wicked cool animated intro, and the CD tracks are of good quality too, although I personally feel that the music on the floppy version captured the spirit of the game more accurately. The game itself is charmingly cartoony packed with humour and the level designs are genius.
Very, very challenging, but what kept me going was the cartoon humour and personality the game is chock full of. A number of puzzles involve interacting with two little aliens named Zitt and Zott, who appear on most of the levels, with typical cartoony outcomes. If they're not abusing each other chances are you have to abuse them!
A wonderful game with exciting levels, great graphics, nice background tunes and awesome sound effects, clever puzzles, lovable characters, lots of cool abilities and an epic boss to wrap it all up. My family and I have many fond memories of this game!
