Did this game have a bug in it? The oxygen levels would run out yet you didn't die. Maybe I'm mistaken

Good sounds and title screen, but very jerky vector graphics.

Infestation is a unique, very good game. I have to agree with Eltars comment below, that the game started in a misleading way. You would first think it's a kind of Battlezone clone, being on the planet surface with all these insects coming at you, but after you go underground the style of the game changes completely and it becomes much more like a first-person action/adventure game. Smooth 3D graphics, great HUD and interface design... I have to replay this!

Very atmospheric game obviously inspired by Alien, with tension and a race against time element to keep you on your toes. 8/10

Great game! And on a single damn disk. Loved it! Still remember when I brought it home to play and that insect splash screen appeared. Psygnosis was a gamemaking wonder!
9/10

Never managed to get below ground level - now that I've read the comments on this great site, might just try it again (only 18 years late)

Seemed like a cool game when I bought it many moons ago, but it was severly hampered by having to keep track of all the stuff you had to maintain. Air, electriciity, medicine (I think) and like 7 other things you constantly had to search for while seeking out bugs. This game became frustrating after 30 minutes...

Good game with nice vector graphics. Controls were very complex, AFAIR. (71%)

I agree with Eltar, this game was very thrilling, and very very challenging. I never did finnish this title.

Very good game, but starting a very dull and misleading way. You had you roam on the planet's surface until you found an entrance that you had to open by typing your character's name (Kal Solar), that was found in the manual. Once inside, the style changed completely. This was, in fact, the Amiga game that captured the most of "Aliens" atmosphere. You had a whole empty complex to explore, alien creatures (giant bee-like) to fend off, and pulsating gigerian eggs to destroy before they hatched in front of you. Your open (or closed) helmet and the breathing system's rythm (changing to match your health) made it quite a creepy and oppressive experience.
The surface screenshots don't do justice to it. And it's a game quite easy to overlook. But once inside, it's pure Psygnosis quality.
