Simon CD32 features the awesome Chris Barrie and his voice delivers Simon's hilarious put-downs. I am only now working my way through the game as I have developed some patience which was missing in my Teens. This is a fabulous game and I love the music which helps me sleep now and then. An unforgettable experience especially on CD32.

Great game, especially with the speech on the CD32 version. Had to use a walkthrough in the end as I never really got some of the clues and just wondered about the game interacting with various characters. Well worth having a copy if you own a CD32.

Amazing adventure game. Released without any hype, no big advertising and it appeared to be a real gem in its genre. Absolutly stunning visuals make this game very appealing and highly enjoyable. Nice puzzles that not necessarily have to be solved in fixed order make this game really interesting and fun to play. CD32 version contains all the dialogues spoken that creates a completly new dimension of this brilliant game.

I would have rated it 10/10 but because you can't switch on the text display of the dialogues i sadly must subtract 1 point. Apart from this it's pure excellence. In fact I think my understanding of spoken english with partly really bad dialects improved much by the fact the text display was missing ...

What can I say, nothing better than a game with great graphics, mind bending puzzles and a smart alec teenager. Some of the responses you could choose were classic. Loved it.

A good game, but suffers too much from the 'pixel-hunting' syndrome.

One of my favourite games ever. There are so many awesome aspects to this game.
The gameplay is not so different to the classic LucasArts adventures. Choose a verb, click on something on screen, watch how Simon reacts. Use logic and humour to solve puzzles. Explore loads of scenes, and interact with a number of characters. The game itself is very long, and some puzzles aren't very logical, but the humour always keeps you going.
The graphics are just superb. Pixel art to perfection, really stunning. The characters, objects, backgrounds... Everything. Everything just looks great and it's all so pleasing to the eye.
With a range of music, and no one track sounding out of place, the music is brilliant, and memorable too.
And this version comes with a full talkie soundtrack. Great voice-overs, the actors do well to capture the characters' personalities and this makes the game even better.
And as for the humour? Love it. In fact, I remember sharing some quotes and jokes from the game with a few schoolfriends many years ago. I went to a small school, there weren't a lot of students there, and pretty soon it seemed that half the kids were repeating the jokes and quotes to each other, without even knowing where the quotes first came from.
Truly one of the most memorable games of my life. I have many great memories of Simon!

The game rocks... A little dude with "oh so grand powers" and a tongue sharp as a spike goes around insulting things while most of them stick to character as semi-inane or way to smart for him. Adult humor for the young adult. I have to give it 10/10 for graphics, originality, and wit (though at times the things you need to figure out are way out in left field. Prepare a walkthrough for this one.

Between buying this game for my CD32 and now, I learned that this guy doing the voice work in this game had a famous part in a TV show in Britian. Eventually I became a megafan of that TV show and I've already watched my DVDs of Red Dwarf a half a dozen times each. Barrie's voice skills impressed me from the first time I heard him mimicking other members of the RD cast. He's great. In this game he makes the character very British and likable, and all the voices in the game quite funny to hear. As for the game itself, I hesitate to go with my gut and call it a certified classic. It is darn good and looks better than similar PC games at the time, very lush color and appealing settings and characters. It's bettered by a wide margin by the Monkey Island games, that's just a fact for me anyway. Still, the fact that this game is so British with Barrie's influence makes it nearly as appealing to play as those Monkey ones.
It's been way too long since I've played this. I need to fire up my CD32 since the game without the voices isn't an option IMO. I'm about to get a TV tuner for my PC and that'll improved the visual quality over my boob tube. Sounds like a plan, eh?
9/10-with Barrie, 8/10 without

Good, funny humour,... But nothing special for me. This kind of adventure games unconvincing me so much as others. 6/10

This talkie one was great to learn to understand English
A fun adventure and a true masterpiece who can't be ignored and that became an instant classic.

I thought that the best adventure game is Lure of the Temptress. Until I played CD32 talkie version of Simon the Sorcerer...

One of the first Adventure games I played and I still love it! Just a shame Chris Barrie didn't come back and do the voice in the Sequel

Not as good as the Monkey Islands, but all the same, this was almost as good, great themes, music, characters, humour, magic, and adventure. Good to filup a long Saturday night.

This game is just beautiful. I played it on my CD32 where it is in the "full talkie"-version. Great riddles, great voices and astonishing backgrounds. One of the big big classics in point&click history!

Most definitely one of the best Adventure Games for the Amiga. I would put it up there with The Secret Of Monkey Island, but apparently other people think otherwise. Hm.

It's good. But not as good as the monkey island games.

Not in the same league as Secret Of Monkey Island but a good adventure all the same, tried to be funnier than what it was..
