A really poor beat 'em up.

Just a 2 for me here, as it's an abysmal version of the game.
Arcade, Megadrive and Master System versions of Alien Storm are very enjoyable games to play. Fast Paced, great music and just a blast to play with friends. This version is slow and choppy, sounds terrible and is a real chore to play.
More often than not the collision/hit detection is indecipherable, so I ended up just staying at the top of the screen so I knew for sure that the aliens were on the same plain as me. The first-person areas are just a nuisance too, and result in the player taking lots of damage due to how unplayable it is.
I guess it looks okay, though.

This is very poor, especially when compared to the excellent Sega Mega Drive/Genesis conversation. The basic elements are there, but graphics, music, sounds and controls leave a lot to be desired.

Poor graphics, bad animation, way too easy, that game hasn't a lot to be saved. I did enjoy it for a couple hours though. Always had some kind of strange fascination for those botched Us Gold conversions.

Most of the Magazine reviewers say this game has generally bold and good graphics that move around at a smooth rate. Are they on crack? I brought this game when it came out for £25. I felt totally ripped off. This was just after playing the great Golden Axe conversion. The framerate is terrible. The scrolling is non existent. The palette sucks, the gameplay is sluggish and the music is BAD! Apart from all these short comings. I played it again recently and i didnt hate it as much as I did back then. It is bad yes, but it aint TMNT the coin op conversion bad!

Stupid and annoying game. A very good example why arcade games shouldn't be converted to home computers.

Playability is difficult to make out here--and if this aspect had been better thought-out, then the less-than-optimal graphics could have been overlooked and Alien Storm would probably have been rated higher.

This game is pure crap. Bad graphics together with terrible animation and controls makes this pain to play. Also the SFX are bad an the ingame music is missing. Enemies are mostly of the same type and it is not easy to avoid or kill them. The whole game is unfair. There are only two pros - the woman's weapon is my favourite flamethrower and in the game over sequence there is the Gilius Thunderhead from my beloved Golden Axe. But this can't save this gaming disaster.

Poor conversion, but I like the coin-op and I like this conversion too...

The animation on this one is terrible, making it almost impossible to play it how intended.

Poor porting of a not so good (probably one of the worse) Sega arcade game. Anyway it was done by Tiertex... There's no need to say more.

Awful stuff. Terrible to look at and horrible to play. Two player mode doesn't save it.
