Marketed as a "Tetris-killer", it faded into obscurity. Even young people know Tetris, because it is more accessible. Klax has really complicated game mechanics compared to it.

As far as conversions go, Klax on the Amiga is not really pixel perfect but acceptable as well. Problem is Klax is a derivative, albeit well done, puzzle game and, as such, has not aged entirely well. It is not bad at all but still inferior to many classic puzzlers (6/10).

I don't really like Klax on any platform, the game is just frankly boring.

Gets too hard for me after a short time. Could have been great, I like the idea, but it's too hard for me.
and yeah for me it's overrated.

This has got to be the most addictive puzzle game I have ever played and it is in my Amiga top 10 games. I had it on my Atari Lynx also. It was available for just about everything. Check out the Wikipeda page [www]

The Amiga's best puzzler? Very playable, good samples and the whole thing just puts a smile on your face.

Nice one! I never was into puzzle games, but played this one quite a lot.

Klax comes damn near to winning the title of best puzzler of all time, yet is predictably beaten by Tetris to the finish - compared to the Tetris conversions that came out for the Amiga, however, Klax remains unbeaten in its department. It is the nineties, and there is time for obscure, dated slogans!

"it is the nineties and there is time for..... KLAX!" oohhhh kaaay. Apart from that brain dead title screen this was actually a fun puzzle game. Nothing much to it but then nor was Tetris. Fun nonetheless.

Excellent! The original arcade game is very addictive, and Amiga conversion is even better (graphics mostly).

Better than Tetris in my book, even before you consider how bad that Amiga version was. One I still go back to today.

"It is the nineties... And there is time for KLAX" I enjoyed the Amiga version of this game very much and I agree with shteev that this is a better version then the arcade original.

Not as cool as Tetris, but still a very solid game.

A really good version of Klax, this, better in fact that the arcade: the difficulty of each level was based only on the level itself, rather than simply getting harder because you'd been playing a long time on this credit.

A brilliant arcade puzzler, best of the Tetris/Columns/Puyo Puyo/Puzznic style. It was great to have a different challenge on each level, and the system of colelcting a block but not having to drop it immediately, coupled with the small playing area, made it almost entirely a game of skill.

Despite the fact that it had ATARI written all over it, this was a very good game. And obviously the Amiga version was better than the ST one!! Hehehe
