Could be more enjoyable if the controls weren't so random and Spiderman wouldn't walk so slow. I wasted like 10 minutes of my life just walking from one screen to the other, then noticed I missed a switch. I couldn't be bothered to walk back and quit the game. Honorable mention: Spiderman taking a shit on the titlescreen.

When I first played The Amazing Spider-Man, I fully expected the game to be like the Spider-Man games on other systems: beat 'em ups in the style of Double Dragon or Final Fight. I was suprised this Amiga game turned out to be a neat little puzzler.

I loved the small, "cute" gfx on this game right away. Made a change from all those giant, mind bending sprites in other games! There was actually a fun platformer here if you could put with some of the infuriating backgrounds that just seemed to jam you or throw you off for no reason! Fun but patience required.

This looks ghastly at first, but it's totally absorbing once you get into it. The slow pace and small graphics turn a lot of people off, but there's some really engaging puzzles waiting for those who stick it out. And the switch flipping/gravity bending gameplay is a welcome respite from the all the standard jumpy/shootey platformers which infested the Amiga back in the day. 8/10.

This has gotta be one of the most underrated games ever...
The gameplay is just wonderful and provides a unique experience.
Technically, it is not perfect (the code sometimes plays dirty tricks, backgrounds are poor, sound is even poorer and... Gotta hate that missing outline around the head and feet of Spidey!), but nevertheless the game is so funny that it fully deserves a 9!

Despite of generally hating marvel/dc/whatever superheroes, I happened to be very fond of that game : I'm partial to games that allow your character to walk on ceilings, swing, get stuck on walls, etc (think "Flood", "Bionic Commando" or "Stryder" to some lesser extend). And this game was a dream in that department, especially with infinite lives on.
I'm not too proud to admit that even with that cheat on, I never managed to complete it (got sucked in some sewer, if I remember well).

Miniscule GFX and adequate sfx. Puzzle action hybrid with imagineryy scenery and interesting screens. One of the forgotten gems of Amiga gaming history.

This was an "ok" game it had nothing special in a way of GFX or sound but the gameplay was so basic yet in-depth & made you play it more

Simple, yet very charming and playable. Good stuff

No one could say that this "little" game is boring. Spidey will keep you busy for months.

Featuring a cute Lemmings like Spidey with simple (although quirky) controls, fun graphics, acceptable sounds and a decent blend of action and puzzles. Websling, wallcrawl, jump and swing, a surprisingly decent little game.

Interesting and fun.

Not much to look at I guess, but I always liked games like this. A bit fiddly but good fun and freedon to run around and explore.
