I actually liked this game. I never finished it since a disk went bad
I was just about to reach a cave having visited Tom Bombadil. Maybe I will try it again someday.

This one was a pain to play. I somehow enjoyed the opening music, it reallyt fits the game well. As far as I know the second part of this game is ms-dos only. The PC version moved justy a little bit faster. There are better games out there. 5/10 for the music.

I guess they planned this as a trilogy. The fact that the characters are moving really slow becomes very annoying, especially if you have to travel greater distances.

Although I AM a big fan of Tolkien for about 20 years, this game is real pain. It has a nice intro with wonderful delicate music, but the game itself is horrible. Stupid keyboard/mouse controls in menus are annoying as well as the fact that characters in the game CAN'T move diagonally, although there is a lot of diagonal pathways, walls etc.

If you are not a huge fan of Tolkien trilogy do not try to play this game. You will find it boring and you will not be aware what it is about. For addicted fans it's a must-see.
