[www] -> for the fan site.
At least for me the 2006-04-16 link does not work.
The one above seems okay, I downloaded the expansion kit one and it at least unzipped alright, so.
But nice going for the fan site, thank you!

Update - big thanks to everyone who's been to my site [www] written in my guestbook, downloaded the ADFs and enjoyed playing them on WinUAE.
I've done a major update this Easter weekend and found answers to the corrupted map problem on Scenario 4 but what many of you will probably go there for is to download the special 16-bit instructions for Amiga/Atari. I finally got around to scanning it in and converting it to PDF. That's my Easter gift to you all, enjoy!
So once again guys, keep playing Lords Of Chaos.

This slightly misses those little and neat touches that made Laser Squad a work of pure genius, but it's still awfully addictive and enjoyable. There are really too many different strategies, options, chances and tricks in it to miss it, try it now!

Not looking/sounding as polished as Laser Squad (looks more like an old Spectrum game), but this was still a great game! Loved the 4 player option, and there was just so many different tactics to try out. A shame that none of my friends wanted to play it, though. (thanks for your page, joenumpty!)

Fun stuff I've done in Lords of Chaos:
* Trapped my opponent in his starting house by blocking the exts with a pair of elephants and then setting fire to his house thus burning him alive.
* Opponent had a cauldron in his house in which he was mixing potions to improve the abilities of his summoned minions. Only every time he finished a potion my invisible pixie sat in the corner would run up, drink the lot, and then run back to the corner of the room.
* Once got a decent production line going of invisible super strong flying monkey swordsmen.
* My opponents wizard was walking along a path through a forest. He didn't see my Lion hiding in the bushes just next to the path. Who lept out and mauled him for an instant kill. Amusing image I always thought. Wizard walking along and being pounced on by a lion.
Anyhow. Hopefully this gives some inclination of just how amazingly cool this game is.

Lords of Chaos is a fantasy strategy game for one to four players. Each player takes control of a wizard and uses his magical abilities to fulfil his objectives. The main objective in each scenario is to survive until a portal appears and then escape through the portal to 'Limbo'. There are three scenarios provided with 'Lords Of Chaos' which represent different worlds. The one player game combines strategy with role play. A 'Wizard Designer' program is provided to name and design your own wizards. Successful completion of a scenario will enable you to spend 'Experience Points' on improving your wizard before going on to the next world. In addition to the three scenarios provided with the game there will be expansion kits available to continue your quest to become the most powerful wizard in the new worlds.
I played this game first on the Commodore 64 before upgrading to the Amiga version when that came out in 1991. Lords Of Chaos was the main reason that I ended up buying an Amiga. I only stopped playing Lords Of Chaos when my Amiga broke a few years later. In the meantime I forgot about Lords Of Chaos but three years ago I was searching for something on Google and Lords Of Chaos came up as a result! I remembered how great the game was and so I created a tribute website for it at [www] which will become a permanent shrine to arguably the greatest 2-D fantasy strategy RPG of all time. Lords Of Chaos will not disappoint you. Play it!
