Not sure if I was playing a faulty ADF version, but after the intro it loads right into the game and you're immediately attacked. No chance to get used to the controls at an empty starting point. The enemies revive after few seconds while you're still figuring out the controls which are crap due to the isometric view. Requires pixel perfect jumps. When I went around a corner of the path, despite no visible gap I fell down and lost a life. That's when I decided to give this game a bad rating.

I have the CD32 version and after the nice graphics it all ends there, the gameplay is horrid!!!!!

Amazing GFX, animation and sound but unfortunately that is all that this game has to offer. Unbelievably difficult, iritating and annoying. Although the puzzles are OK and quite fun, the control over the main character is a disaster. In some cases it is more a matter a luck than skill. Sad because this could have been a really nice closure to the whole trilogy.

This had some nice stylish graphics and decent adventuring gameplay but was let down somewhat by fiddly control, bugs and fairly long loading times.
7/10

A shame because the graphics and music are superb.

My PUTRID mate below had this game for his C-64 in 1991 i told him its not as good as Last ninja 1+2 but he wouldnt have it,luckely for me i had the mighty Megadrive at the time so i was ok,as for him he was stuck with the out of date C-64.

The best of the game:
Intro and Music
The concept of an RolePlayingActionGame is excelent though for those times.

Too hard, too buggy, better then the second game but not playable. 4/10 for the sake of the name "last ninja" which I loved on the 64. Also the 64 version was a disaster too.

As much as I love the first two C64 LAST NINJA games, I hate this one. Sloppy controls, mediocre graphics and rock hard gameplay. And too much loading times!

I think at this point our black costumed friend was pushing on a bit, even on the humble old C64! Nice graphics in this one though but couldn't help feel, "I've seen all this before!". I remember it being stupidly difficult too.

A piece of advice: On the third level DO NOT kill the End Level Guardian before you have stopped the waterfall, otherwise you won't be able to finish the level, thanks to a bug.

Playability was always slightly weak in the Last Ninja series, and in this game it was eaven weaker. Looks OK, sounds nice (but nowhere near the classic music of the previous C64 outings) but is not much fun to play.

Aaaargh! I bought this game, believing it to be as cool as the two earlier C64 games. It wasn't!

Less bugs than the C64 version! Good stuff.
