This attracts a lot of negative comments and that's understandable. But it's far from all bad. The music, by Alistair Brimble, is some of the very best on the Amiga. And the intro sequence is really well done. I have loaded it up just to watch and listen to the intro countless times. And the graphics are rather nice too, very bright and clean. The premise is good and I like the front cover too.
The game itself could and probably should have been better. It does feel like you're driving on ice and the controls are counter-intuitive. But the presentation is so nice that, for me at least, there was some incentive to get used to it, which you eventually do. Then there's a decent amount of fun to be had for a budget-only title.

GTA on drugs in 2D with bouncing cars all over the place. Not as entertaining as it sounds.

So there you have it: the debut game of the Swedish connection of the future Team 17 (well, unless you consider Swedish Software's 'Banzai'). It is quite limited and doesn't fare well on longevity, but I had some fun with it back in the 1990's. It might just be me who is a sucker for combat racing games but what the hell.
The really crazy design choice was that of directional controls instead of rotational: I appreciate it was done in order to leave the fire button available for weapons, but did Super Cars need such a mad trade-off? This shows why Amiga joystick makers should have pushed 2-button controllers to the market much sooner. Anyway, with a little persistence it is something you can get used to, at which point there's some fun to be had (of course this implies that you'll stop being any good at any other racing game until you've completed this).
There aren't many levels and there's hardly any replay value, but its still way better than the budget titles Codemasters were developing internally back then.

This was developed by Team 17.
The game is very poor, apart from nice music this title has very little to offer. You're job as lieutenant Don Ferrari is to catch some random crooks, however that just ain't gonna happen, 'cause the game is so bad! Before each mission you're being briefed which crook you're after but the most important thing is to remember the vehicle's color.
Driving your car in this game is like driving on ice, don't even bother it's a waste of time.

Looks interesting. A bit like gta.

Miami Chase is obviously influenced by Miami Vice, From the name "Don Ferrari" to the music. I think Codemasters may have changed the car at the last minute because, along with the character name, the box art had a Ferrari F40.
Like "Little Monkey Lost" said, it's a budget title (£7.99) and for a budget title is isn't bad. Don't get me wrong, there are much better driving games out there but it isn't bad.
I gave it a 6/10. You're not missing much if you never play Miami Chase, but for a budget title in the 90's, it's better than most.

It's just a matter of luck not to total your car.. Driving is not easy. The streets are slippery like a frozen lake, there is always too much traffic so you can't drive fast. Last but not least the name of your character is Don Ferrari but he owns a Lamborghini.

OK budget game. Not so special, but I guess I played this quite a lot after all. I don't remember any problem with a gameplay that steel-online mentioned below. I remember that I often waited for enemy cars somewhere and then it was easy to blast them after they appeared. Programmers have done their job well because graphics scroll so smoothly. The intro music is nice Miami Vice type piece.

I'm sure this must've been seriously influential on the designers of the original Grand Theft Auto.

Plays like a shareware version of Micro Machines...

This game tried to lift with the hugely successful series Miami Vice. But it failed to be even close to good. Graphics are OK, but where the hell is the gameplay?! You need all the concentration in the world not to crash, and doing so needs you to drive under 30 km/h! Regarding that this game also has a time element, the frustration sets in after only a minute of play. Leave this one well alone!
Graphics: 7/10
Sound: 7/10
Playability: 3/10
Overall: 4/10
