So much fun and so addictive. Micro Machines is one of these proofs that gameplay is much more importante than tehcnical achievement. No music with impressive samples, no big sprites or very colourful backgrounds, no special effects each time it is possible. But in contrary of games like Overdrive, this one is so fun and playable! And the 2 player mode makes it a must-have on all the system on which this game has been released. For me, the only flaw is that it would have been easy to offer a 4 player mode using a cheap adapter for parallel port.

@mailman It's not a "highly overrated game". The fact you didn't like it should not prevent seeing its qualities. A simple design for a highly addicitve game for family, easily accessible even by an occasional player.

A shame that Micro Machines 2 Turbo Tournament never made its way on Amiga.

A highly overrated game. Racing without a purpose on tracks that are located in a bathtub, a sandbox or a wooden table does not convince me. Handling is good but "micro" lanes and "micro" cars are just not the thing that gripped me into this one.

Fun, thrilling, and Cheerios! This seemed like one of the 'later' game I had for the Amiga - two player option could be infuriating.

Yet another game I bought for the Amiga and later bought a sequel for the PC for. Think I got more fun out of this one, especially two-player against my brother. Visually inferior to the Megadrive version though.

Seems like I bought this for my nephew. I remember having a great time with it. I'd liked little car racing games since C64 and the awesome Racing Destruction Set.

This game is at it's best with 2 players, quite entertaining but also frustrating when you hit loads of obstacles in a row

Ha, this is a two player killer! Played it for hours with friends back in the day!

Fun and challenging game. I never got into the Micro Machines back then, I guess I felt too old. But the game is quite alright. Quite fun actually!

Hard game considering it was aimed at kids. Micro Machines V3 was the last of the good ones. I'd give this a good 8/10 as it's gameplay is just excellent.

Some tracks were too hard to accomplish. I remember the third desktop in this game. Cars were too fast, the track had too much unfair places and my car felt down the table in every bend. Maybe I shouldn't drink too much alc

Superb stuff! There was something fun about running over waffles and avoiding orange juice splashes... But that was just me in my spare time! Really, though, this was a pick up and play anytime, hugely addictive.

Awsome fun, one of the best top down racers for the Amiga. Great tracks and cars, I love driving around the breakfast table. Good two player too.

An NES conversion with really amateurish presentation, that happens to have been hugely entertaining stuff.

This is a really lazy conversion on the technical side, and not the greatest 1-player racer going, but everything is forgiven in 2-player mode. Even if you don't like racing games, the unusual setting and points-based competition ensures that it remains exciting and surprising for a long time.

Good racing game, but as 2 player fun it loses out to Jupiter's Masterdrive and Super Cars II. The Amiga had no shortage of this particular style of game.

Fun racing game for two players, but pretty average when there's only one player. Nice graphics and good controls. Sound is OK too.

Very fun and nice racing game. One of the funniest games on the Amiga if you want to play with a friend! You can also play against the computer and advance to higher levels... It´s getting harder and harder you longer you race. First tracks are easy... Then it becomes harder. Very nice and clear graphics, good control, funny tracks and music and sound is ok. Hardly no sound in game, just effects...

Gameplay level is high in this one! 10/10

Another example of a game that is pretty average as a 1-player game yet really comes alive if you've got friends.

To me this old ancient 2D version is a lot more playable that the pseudo-3D versions they are making nowdays.
