Although it is far from being the best footie game on the Amiga, it is fun (it is the absolute top football game on the C64, though). I still play it from time to time and my son loves it, too. It is just a bit too simple.

Suffered on the Amiga compared to the commy's fun offering. Ah, it was ok but not what the Amiga intended.

This was a dollar or 2 at some shop in the mall. I noticed the box was getting dripped on from a leak in the ceiling of the store. It was wet inside as well when I got it home. Yeeeees! I bought it anyway! Haha! I actually enjoyed playing it for the most part. I still have it somewhere...I wonder if the disk survived...

Won't rate since it's been so long.

I was waiting for an enjoyable football game for the Amiga a loing time - and Microprose Soccer was kind of a breakthrough, though more an arcade game than a simulation. But nethertheless a lot of new features like indoor, different tournaments, weather etc. You are controlling we keeper, too. For me at least 8 of 10 (concerning the time it was published).

Dissapointing, C64-version was better. Was one of the first football games on the Amiga, but when Emlyn Hughes, Kick Off 2, Manchester United Europe, Sensible Soccer or Goal arrived there was no reason any more to play this one.

I also enjoyed this on C64, to be hone I haven`t tried Amiga version yet. At the time this was the most enjoyable football sim and the fact that in one game youwere able to play "normall" and street football was awesome.
This game is more than solid in my eyes.

Pretty average. I was disappointed when playing it on the Amiga, since it's my favourit football game on C64.

The poor relation of footy games. Even preferred Emlyn Hughes Int Soccer to this. The overhead kicks were a nice touch and the banana kick was just silly. Didn't spend too much time with this before going back to Kick Off 1 at the time.

The banana kick - brilliant, was a decent football game though I enjoyed Kick off and sensible soccer more.

Played the 64 version a lot and that one was very good! I don't know how good or bad the Amiga version is....

Oh just shut up Jim, have you even played this or any of the other games you've ranted against?

This isn't as good as Sensi or Kick Off 2, but it's fun in its own right, and all Kick Off has in common with it is the viewpoint - the control system is completely different, as are the tournament modes.

The guy is called Dino Dini. I first played that game on an arcade machine, and it was great fun, very fast, but hard. On the C64 and Amiga, it was just not good, and had awful gameplay. There are better ones.

I gave this game 1 point, however I wanted to give it 0.

I wanted to give it a point as this game "invented" the overhead soccer view, and also aftertouch.banana kicks.

Subsequently Dini Dono/Doni Dini/ Dini Dini/Dono Dono or whatever his name was ripped this off for Kick Off, and then Kick Off 2.

Then Sensible Software were accused by DD of ripping KO2 off when Sensible Software did indeed develop (shit out) Microprose Soccer.

In fact what I have read is probably a load of rubbish, but this game deserves at least 1 point for being part of the infamous DD v Stuart Wankwell arguments that graced many many forums.

Isn't Microprose Soccer the predecessor of Sensible Soccer?

On the C64 this was by far the best football game around. Why the Amiga version sucks so bad (lots of bugs and poor scrolling and sprite collision) I will never know. A shame really.

One thing this game does have compared to later Amiga-dedicated football games is comedy value. The 'banana power' mode offers ridiculous swerve to the ball, while the way the players do sliding tackles in the wet and carry on skidding for 15-20 yards (often making contact with teh ball and directing it properly!) is entertaining as well. There are also a nice variety of tournaments, and the indoor mode is a nice novelty. Sadly, like most C64-originating football games, the control is very limited and there are too few subtleties to building an attack.

I prefered this to the C64 version. It wasn't in the KO2 league, but still fun nonetheless. Time to take Oman to the World Cup again......

A c64-classic, but the Amiga version is very poor. There were quiet a few football games better than this one available.
