Monty Python's Flying Circus on the Amiga? An Amiga? You were lucky! My family were so poor we had to play this game on an Atari ST.

Very good, addictive and funny.
Only take off the fact that it moves slightly AtariStish.

Absolutely great and outstanding game.
The best of all Monty Pythons' game out there for any system I think.
I played it a lot and I played it "through" many times now. Hence I think I can say for sure that it is absolutely not possible to collect all the brains and I think this is part of the show.
Almost Art.

It's not a bad game, and I realy like some of the gimicky characters and bosses, but esentialy all of them act the same way, you just have less stuff to hide behind.
It's also ridiculously difficult at times, especialy if you want to get all the brain pieces.
Long story short I got 2. Anyone actualy got all of them and saw the ending ? Is there any kind of level after that or is it just some sort of Terry Gillian-esque animation ?

As much as I love Monty Python, the game came across as quite a damp squib, not just on the Amiga but C64 as well. Could have been really good but even the pc attempts at Monty Python games show that something great and stupid can't be emulated.

A below average platform/shoot-em-up game that quickly got old as soon as you'd seen all the gags.

Strange game. Essentially a not-very-good shmup interspersed with bits of Python; gets very samey after a while, and unless you're obsessed with the Pythons there's nothing here that's of any interest.

Got to love the part where they remove Mr Gumby's brains, priceless.

Very weird game, as you'd expect when wearing the Python-name. I still don't know whether I like it or not, though. I remember it felt pretty random at places.

Very limited gameplay a bit bland at times, but graphically OK and sound was of course funny with it being that of Monty Python.

The feel of the TV series (and, more specifically, Terry Gilliam's animations) is definitely there. It's just a shame that the game itself is pretty average. Worth looking at but not one likely to have you coming back for more.

Crap game. Completed it with cheats, wasn't even worth it. Not even fun for 5 minutes.

I knew this game before I knew Monty Python. I liked playing it, but after I learned about MP, this game got new dimensions.
Came with a funny thick manual. A lot of MP stuff included, you know..?

The samples were a laugh, but face it...the game was a real turd. Even Viz was better than this.

"Monty Python's Flying Cirus". The name stands for humour, laughs and originality. The TV-series was brilliant, as were the outstanding movies The Holy Grail and Life of Brian. But at a certain time the originality faded and the gents of the circus became older. They weren't that sharp anymore and so the funny men became a little bit of a parody of themselves. That started already with The Meaning of Life and other appearances. Why this game came out in 1990 was a big questionmark to me. Although based on the original and funny TV series this game tries to be funny, but just isn't. At first you think it's strange and maybe you'll see the humour of this unstructured strangeness, but very soon the repeating of the same jokes over and over again starts to be irritating. And when this fades you realize that this game is a very mediocre (platform)shooter. The graphics are pretty good with nice sprites and funny graphics. The sound uses some samples from the series and it is very decent. The gameplay is sometimes pretty hard, but okay, nothing special; but the game is very short. You can finish it in an hour, a big negative point. So Monty Python is a very mediocre platform shooter, which tries to be special, because of the humour, but fails in being really funny; just like the later work of the once brilliant Monty Python-gang.

Overall: 6/10

While this wasn't the best jump and run ever, the myriad of gags, the pop up jokes and the Monty Python references alone kept me playing just to see what would come next. Fantastic game!
