The music in this game is superb! It's gentle and sweet. OH IT'S THE TURRICAN GUY, THAT EXPLAINS IT!

Very simple GPX, but good playability! It reminds me Super Mario 2 and Titus the Fox. It has unique ideas

I got this after a friend had praised it to no end. Because of the excessive praising, I had unrealistic expectations and, thus, got a bit disappointed in the end. The graphics are somewhat bland and 8bit-ish, but the music is great. Playability is a bit hit-and-miss, with nice strategic elements but somewhat crude and basic controls. This is an absolutely average game, in my book.

I'm still trying to finish it 25 yrs later. It's a good game even if there are sooooooo many levels to read THE END

The game looks and plays like a shareware. Poor graphics, animation and level design together with a lack of variety make this game boring. The only interesting thing is Chris Huelsbeck title song, but the rest of ingame music is nothing special.

Apprentice barely gets any credit today probably because it has very unimpressive, if not bad, graphics. Nonetheless it is a very solid and innovative jump and run with it's platform/puzzle action mixed with adventure elements. It has a lot of addictive fun to offer and it is a bit of an hidden gem (7/10).

Good, if somewhat basic looking platform puzzler. Looks like a PD game but the controls and level design are rather good. The music is okay too (plus you get simulataneous sfx).
I'm dropping it some points for the sheer lack of variety in level graphics. Out of the many many worlds there's only 3 variations in look. That's pretty lazy.
6/10.

It is amusing to me that Zolo, a Master Magician's apprentice, is mainly skilled in kicking wooden boxes. Less amusing are his razor-sharp teeth in the title screen. That can give an adult nightmares. Something went wrong when the graphic artists recreated the drawing of smiling Zolo from the advertisement.

Fun for a while.

This game is an excellent platformer, the graphics are decent, the controls are very easy as well. It's very easy to pick up boxes and kick them around, as well as picking them up while jumping, which adds to the games controls.
The enemies are very amusing as well, brooms, hedgehogs and the posh guards.
The hidden puzzles are great if you can work them out, the inventory of springy shoes, floating balloons are a great feature too
For me the music is fantastic, up there with some of the best on the Amiga, it suits the game perfectly
This game suits kids and adults it's an addictive platformer, try it you will like it!

Cute weird platform reminding to my good old high scool days. Good gameplay too. Deserves more attention..

More than average game. Mediocre graphics, a bit dogdy steering but there is some glue in it which makes you stick to it quite long and you don't feel irritiated after loosing another life or when you need to start all over again.

Ahh the memories! I used to play this in a shopping centre in class intervals when I was about ten. I didn't have an Amiga at the time and this was the closest I got to heaven! Great, great game!

One of the best platform games I´ve played. I liked the magic stuff in it and the great gameplay.

Gameplay is OK, the graphics mediocre. Plays like a piece of an apprentices work

Looks anonymous and generic enough, but plays fine. Some clever puzzles, nice music and good controls definitely grant a neat experience.

Never thought too much of this game, the looks just didn't appeal to me. But be warned! Once you give it a try you won't be able to put it away that quickly. A very addictive and innovative puzzler!
