I surprised myself when I actually enjoyed playing this. It was obviously rubbish in one player mode, but get a few friends round and it turned into a hilarious waste of time. 8/10

I remember feeling terribly disappointed with this when i got it. Too childish in both presentation but, above all, playability as well. I got so depressed by the disappointment that I returned the game to the shop a few days later and brought some other game instead. Now that I revisited it via emulation, it doesn't quite look nor feels as bad as I seemed to remember it. I really must have had too high expectations for this one...

Lovely cartoon gfx again from our pond dwelling hero James Pond. I was never really sure about the whole sports thing with this game. Was playable enough, if not just for the funny animations and sound.

Good game, fun and challenging and definitely great lasting gameplay. It was nice to see Pond in another game, he definitely had mascot potential for the Amiga. Never broke a joystick with this one

Very fun game with some unique, interesting challenges. I definitely would recommend this more so to those who are already fans of the James Pond series though, as I feel that's where the charm of this game comes from.

Unfortunately, the graphics in this particular game aren't up to the standards of the others in the series, but they're not too bad either. As always in Pond games, the music is very catchy. This game introduces some new characters - I personally love the seal from Kipper Watching - and some events in the game really are quite challenging.

I also recommend that you play this with other people - it can be very funny and entertaining, as well as frustrating. I played this with my family and friends when I was younger and had a blast. Back in the day, this was one of my two favourite olympic games - along with Bobo!

And yes, joystick waggling. Even though it's just a computer game, your arm can get some serious workout from playing this! The best workout you could get from a computer until the Wii was introduced (well... Possibly).

Original sports game with typical in such games handling (be prepared for a lot of joystick waggling). As it is usual in such games, some events you will like more some events you will like less. Nevertheless each of them is unique and you will not find game similar to this. Nice graphics, nice music. Game mostly for children.

Something about James Pond always made me feel a bit sick.

Pfeh. This is ok. Knackered my joysticks with the running games and stuff. Good fun all the same, but it aint as good as the first or second games to bear James Pond's name.

I was a James Pond fan and was not disappointed with this game, but afterwards I would say that events could have been designed better. They just don't happen to be attractive enough compared to for example California Games. A nice game with nice graphics anyway.

I thought this game had nice colourful GFX, happy sounds & decent gameplay although it would end up either someone hurting their fingers or hand or the fact that your joystick would end up in the bin.

Lucky for me I had a mint joystick that never failed me and still have it after a good 10 years!

While the game had a few addicting gems, most of the events in this game are boring or infuriating. If you really, really, love Olympic-style games, there are better games out there. If you don't, this game will remind you why you hate them so much. There's not a lot of skill in most of the events... Just an attempt to move a joystick back and forth quickly. I accumulated a pile of busted joysticks because of this game.

Well, I have to admit, this is the *worst* James Pond game to date. But the Kipper Watching game is really fun. Now, is it me, or does Pond's sprite look absolutely...hideous??? As does the boxart (eeeek! Muscular legs!!!) Hmm, the SNES version's way better.

Some traditional events disguised as "aquatic madness" and then some not so traditional events disguised as fun. So it goes without saying there wasn't a single event which would have stood up from the crowd. Technically brilliant with colourful graphics and jolly soundscape but sadly much of the potential was wasted.
