This coin-op classic runs great on the Amiga!

Pretty good conversion of the classic arcade game.

Paperboy it somehow an iconic arcade game for the late eighties, even though it's hard today to see why. It is playable and fun for a while but that's pretty much everything about it. Anyways, the Amiga conversion is a competent job from Elite and then this game has a well deserved place in the arcade experience on the Amiga (6/10).

Looking at the screenshots on here I thought it would be like the C64 version but with a nice graphical update.

But it wasn't. The controls are crap, the music is worse and the gameplay is really off somehow.

Probably the first game i loaded when i purchased my 6128 back at '88.
In my opinion the game still stands and is Ideal for children.

Ok. But the C64 conversion is better...

A little gem, unique to this very day. One of my favorites of the past 20+ years and one of my most addictive gaming experiences. Forget the boring Nintendo64 sequel or even the Amiga sequel.

Not the best port ever of this game. It has flaws and problems that other Paperboy ports didn't. But still it's Paperboy .. Throw papers at houses that are part of your route, destroy those that aren't.. Avoid things.. Rinse lather repeat. If you are a fan of the game and don't mind a not 100% accurate conversion of it, then this is for you.

Good, but the C64 conversion has better game play in my opinion.

I used to love playing this! I was really good, able to deliver papers to all my customers while trashing the neighbourhood too! Classic!

Great game on the Amiga, but the one on C64 is heaps good, with such good graphics. But still not a bad Paperboy game on Amiga.

Hmmmm. I'm on the fence on this one, was playable enough I suppose but then I thought the arcade game was pretty dire. Bias aside, it looked okay and sounded OK and I think the Amiga done a pretty good version.

Good conversion that gave many of us kids a pre- beavis & butt-head thirst for some good ole neighbourhood vandalism.

This looks very much like the arcade version so Elite should be congratulated on that. When it comes to the gameplay...it's WAY too hard in places!
If the difficulty level was adjusted, then this would be excellent. As it stands, it's just an above average version. I wish there was a perfect version of this on one platform!

Yeah I quite liked the Amiga version of Paperboy, most games I had were all adventures, this was something different, hard and challenging, and only took up less than a quarter of a 3 1/2 inch disk. Who says big games are better than small games ?

I awaited this game for a long time, and was a little bit disappointed. Nice game, but really short fun.

Very fond memories of playing this! A classic... Although visually it wasn't much it made up for it in fun..
