I remember playing Legacy of the Ancients and Legend of Blacksilver on the C64. When I came across this game on the Amiga I had to have it, as it is very similar and I think it was even programmed by the same two guys (brothers) who programmed the before mentioned games. Worth playing and getting into.

It took me a while to warm up to this game, but I wound up enjoying it. It's not quite Ultima class, but it is still a very good addition to the 2D RPG genre.
