Another very atmospheric game, due to its marvelous fantasy environment, graphics and the music. The music is probably the most atmosphere bearing. This game belongs to my Amiga Fantasy Triumvirate - Darkmere, Hero Quest and Realms.
Pity that its controling isn't quite as regular RTS games, but in those golden times of Amiga we can assume it was regular. If there's anything that could be done for improving, it would be remake of this game into Warcraft-like RTS, but retaining this original graphic and music atmosphere.

A real gem of a game.
While not as complicated as other "god" (or in this case, semi-god) games, this in fact is what makes it so great. There aren't a million different figures and commands and orders to remember. Rather, it's just taxes and fighting and three or four other simple things. In this regard, the game very much resembles "Centurion: Defendors of Rome", though better and more fun.
About the battles, they are excellent. Nothing very big and fancy, but the controls are simple and fun, controlling units and making them attack this enemy unit and move here and there against them. Again reminiscent of "Centurion", but looking better (bigger).
The game screen is better than other games of the genre, because it isn't just one big map-screen, but rather more mixed, making it nicer to look at.
Over-all, a game that I spent many many hours playing and enjoying. Unlike other similar games, I actually felt geniunely good winning, as opposed to with other games where there is more a sense of a relief (that it is all over) rather than joy.
If you want more real and complex god-games, get "Utopia" or "Settlers", but if you want a fun fast-paced game in general, than they don't come better than this.
