The control delay is baaad. Ever played a twitch platformer on a really laggy modern flatscreen? It feels like that.

Having just created an account after being a long term Lemon Amiga admirer, I felt my first rating and review should be reserved for my most potent memory as a young, happy-go-lucky Amiga owner.
I opened this up 20 years ago in the Wild, Weird and the Wicked Amiga pack and I was immediately addicted, it was easily my favourite of the games included in the package. I had been mainly exposed to the old Spectrum games before receiving my Amiga and Putty offered a whole new experience to me, it was like 'playing' a cartoon, so to speak! The sound effects and gameplay elements were something else completely and you would never get frustrated after game over, it would always be loaded up again soon after for another bash. All in all, a fantastic memory of my childhood and just as fun to have a crack at as an adult. 9/10 from me.

Original feedback 2012: i really tried to like putty. Cute graphics and original concept, funny environments and ennemies... But totally unplayable xi !!! Billy putty can do a lot of things, yes, but with only one button (and it's not really better on cd32) and the use of directional movements, it is an ordeal. There are a lot of gameplay mistakes : you can carry only one bot at a time (making it necessary to go back and forth endlessly), long time response control of billy, constant reappearance of the enemies killed. And it is slowwww, really slowwww... Controls are heavy, you always want it to go faster. First you try, then you yawn, frustration comes quickly and finally... You eject the floppy disk and turn off the computer ! Really overrated game, maybe because of the beautiful graphics and the fact that it was offered in england in an a600 pack. I really wanted to like this game (i bought it boxed for my collection). What a disappointment ...

edit 2016: finally, after playing the marvelous putty squad, i wanted to give a new try to putty. I continue to think this game is overrated because of defective gameplay. But i discovered that you can correct the slow of the game and reduce the heavyness of movement by playing the game using 60hz. That's not perfect but really more playable. Surprising... And almost pleasant

Sorry. I started to like this but got bogged down with the silly puzzles later in the game. Looked nice and sfx weren't bad but just too repetitive and similiar later on.

Fascinating gameplay and quite an original idea. The graphics are very cute and pleasing to the eye, and a lot of the levels are really well-designed.

I didn't actually play this game a whole lot, and it was one of the last Amiga games I bought, however when I did play it I could spend a long time on it. A very memorable platform game that will keep you entertained for quite some time.

Very cute graphics from what I remember. Reminded me a little of Cool Spot I think when I bought it years ago. I totally sucked at this game though, more so than usual.

Fantastic game this one. Pretty damned difficult though. My mum finished it once, I never have though. I did try not long ago, but it keeps crashing.

Snipped from my post in last July: "When Putty was coming out I remember there were talks (even official) about recruiting him/it as a mascot for Amiga. Well, it didn't happen and I guess it wouldn't have worked anyway. While Putty is a fluid fella, he quite doesn't have the personality to rival Sonic or Mario. Come to think of it, Mario doesn't have any personality (apart from being obnoxious all around) and still he's a mascot... " As for the game itself, it was entertaining for a while but run out of steam very quickly. You practically used all Putty's tricks too early.

Truly original and fun game, and good gameplay - pretty funny to watch him punch an enemy. The graphics in this game are great. Recommended.

Now this was a classic. Great fun to play, never failed to amuse with the crazy sound effects and colourful characters. Particular favourites were the Scouse Sausage (come on then I'll 'ave ya now, eh?), Terminator Carrot (UZI nine centimetre!) and Dweezil the cat (too bad, ju-u-st missed it. Hwahahahahahaha!).

Fun, mental, hilarious!
