Okay, so this was indeed below Cinemaware standards but who cares! It was a fascinating rendition of 1960's-style Cold War fiction, if a bit underdeveloped both in storytelling and in the actual implementation of the action sequences. There are no plot branches or variables, unlike what Cinemaware would later get us used to, and plot elements like the love story with the Soviet captain are not delivered with effect. But in the end the whole mix worked for that hour of entertainment it was meant to provide.

I believe this was the only Cinemaware title I didn't buy. It just didn't look like their other titles. Seriously looked boring and I originally didn't have a desire to play it. Now I kind of do to see what I was missing.

Yeah, this really was one of Cinemaware's worst games. (47%)

Not the best Cinemaware game, but still pretty fun if not simple.
Like other Cinemaware games this one has a cool plot and fancy graphics and music. Fly a space ship, blast the Russian rebels, shoot down missles to stop the US from getting nuked, and in the end rescue a pretty from a bunch of Russian thugs. (It wouldn't be a Cinemaware game unless you got to rescue a pretty girl! )

The least good of the Cinemaware games, too arcadish and repetitive. Still, well done, and quite an average game globally. It's just that the Cinemaware logo makes us expect a better mix of action, adventure and strategy, with a more cinematographical atmosphere, and less forgettable characters. This was just missile defense, with a sub-skyfox part, and, I must admit, a nifty fps (more like a joystick-driven operation wolf) that was my main motivation for playing the game.

I don't know about you guys ????? But this game sucks alot worse than a zillion x a zillion pairs of second hand stinky wiffed old gran's pants that has never been washed before, the only one reason I like about this game is the beautiful attractive soviet russian girl that you have to rescue near the end of the game, I must say I really do love russian girls alot ! Becos russian girls are simply the best ! And I'M BEING VERY HONEST HERE ! But its a shame I won't ever get to meet up with one Oh well back to reality

While Sinbad and the Throne of Falcon was weak, but had some nice basic ideas, SDI just doesn't seem to know what the goal was. The flight sim parts of the game are terribly underdesigned and poorly programmed, making them innappropriate as a major draw for the game and any attempts at RPG elements in the cutscenes fall completely flat. Sad really, that Cinemaware couldn't beat Origin to the title of cinematic scifi opera.
