Top 10 Amiga game over art. That is one fantastic drawing! Well done in a style reminiscent of H. R. Giger. According to the Hall of Light database, the original release of Astaroth included it as an Din A2 size poster, which is 16.5 × 23.4 inches. I hope someone made a quality scan of that and uploaded it to the internet.

I remember well the controversy around the cover art as it was one of the first instances next to Game Over's infamous nipple. Never got my hands on the game itself though.

I too like the colour palette used here and the background graphics remind me of Shadow of the Beast with all the statues. Unfortunately it's hard to see the difference between background and objects you can pick up. I only found two items and I met a dragon shooting fireballs (probably the end of level boss), but I didn't know how to get past him as I couldn't defend myself.

Average and fairly frustrating game to play, but redeems itself in my eye (or ears) by the superb music.

I absolutely disagree with Sakura_Star1. I like the graphic style of this game - is very different to anything else we can play. Colours used are very interesting, it is a mixture of blurred grey together with sharp colourful mosaics and pitoresque faces and statues in the background and walls. Music is very good and sounds like classic C64´s chipmusic. Maybe it is only a coincidence, but name of the designer is Marc Dawson, which reminds me Mike Dawson - designer of Darkseed. Both games have a little similar style - graphic inspired by H. R. Giger. But - although I like the graphics and sound, I can't figure out what's really going on in this strange game

Theres a nude female creature on the title screen so I give it at least 8/10 points!

This became quite famous before being published thanks to the tits-sporting cover image showed in every games magazine, but in the end it was a really average game with basic graphics and nothing too interesting going on.
