Smash T.V. Received many ports to home systems and the Amiga version is neither the more technically faithful nor the most playable of the whole lot. It gains some value when compared to the average arcade conversions and / or top down shooters on the machine (6/10).

Good but tough game. I could only beat it on one player so I could use two joysticks. One to move the character, one to control the direction of fire.
1 stick to do the lot didn't work - you needed both to be able to beat the game. It took a while but complete it I did.
Good game, good conversion - 8/10 for me.

This is exactly what an action arcade must offer to the gamers. Tough bosses? Of course!! That´s why it´s a coin op, you have to insert coin again and again to finish this jewel among action games.
I played the spectrum version much more than this and..............good times!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great game, ruined by the rediculously hard boss battles

Intense , addictive shooting game spolied by the overly tough bosses...
Sound was a bit ropey too

You "must" play this game with 2 players, or it's impossible. So much chaos! It's very addictive though.

I agree with Predseda on this, what a load of crap, dodgy collision detection, ok gfx & sound, but absolutely no playability whatsoever, if you wanna play smash tv, do yourself a favour and play it on mame with dual sticks, or try the megadrive version which imo is the best of the home versions

Tough little game, but addictive. Good conversion of the coin-op. 7/10.

This was OK, I liked it although found it really hard in places and then eventually give up in the end

This is a pretty decent conversion of the smash (pun intended) arcade game, Smash T.V.! It's fast and furious fun! Classic!

The Amiga version does indeed have dual-stick ability, it's an option you can chose just before you start the game. If you have a joystick(s) with suction cups you should be able to play it just fine.

Tried to replicate the arcade's frantic action on the Amiga, and succeeded to a certain extent, but sadly lacked the fancy dual-stick controls the whole design was based on.

A brave attempt to recreate the sprite-heavy mayhem the arcade version was. Amiga version ultimately failed for lacking the necessary atmosphere. Not that arcade version wasn't any stellar either but Amiga version just didn't feel, look or play quite the same.
