Very atmospheric game full of promises of something special. Its only (and essential) problem is significant portion of chance. You have whole platoon at one moment, in second moment you're lucky, when you play alone with your commander. Just meet one lucky alien...

I played a few missions but this game never grew on me. It plays nice but I would have lied saying that I enjoyed it. However the game is solid and if you are a fun of such an approach towards board games' adaption, you should try this one.

Very good game. Good musics, good graphics and very challenging. If you are playing with friends, this is brilliant game. If you are playing alone, this is still good game. Gremlin has succes to take off all annoying parts that belongs to board game and they keep the good parts.

I love it when the Blood Angels Commander screams while firing his bolter during the intro, right before the main theme kicks in. Every time I think of that awesome intro I want to dust off my copy of Space Crusade again.

A great Warhammer 40K game! As a fan of the original Games Workshop boardgame (which I still have by the way!), I immediately bought this after I tried the demo first. Later I also bought "Voyage Beyond", the expansion disk. It's slow paced, but very atmospheric and satisfying! Oh - and GREATEST INTRO EVER!

It helps if you like classic board games, but this is a very faithful conversion while updating the gameplay slightly for the amiga
But why oh why did they invent the absurd looking "soul suckers" when they could have stuck with genestealers..which were even shown on the box cover

I love this one! Just a wonderfully nostalgic way to play with Warhammer 40k Space marines.
The strategic side of battling your way trough hordes of aliens and the customizable crew makes it lots of fun when playing with all three teams on field, completing mission by mission.
It's been one of my favorites since childhood.

I've never played the board game but regardless, this is brilliant. It's involving enough on your own but rope in a couple of mates and you'll soon lose hours in the game's tense atmopshere and well-crafted missions. It's also very well presented and accessible, even for the most ardent strategy-game hater. Superb in almost every way.

Why did they use the same rules as in the board game? Or to put it another way: How can a shot from a point black range have the same change of hitting/missing like from the other end of a corridor?! This is no Laser Squad, that's for sure!

Very nice strategic game to play after the actual board game got dusted since no one wanted to play on the aliens side...

Even if I prefer hero's quest, it's a good game

The best thing about this game is when the white dude opens his mouth and roars in the title screen. Used to crack me up all the time. Asides from that I found the game completely boring, and that was back in the days when I was easily entertained.

Space Crusade is a science fiction role playing board game, in which you control a commander and four marines. Your commander starts off as a sergeant, and you can work his way through the ranks. The computer version allows for three players, each commanding one marine chapter each. The alien is 'player' by the computer.

I used to own the board game - it went missing after we made a drinking game out of it. This conversion is great. The graphics are simple, but the straight forward and addictive gameplay is still there, and the atmosphere. Many hours and days were spent on this one; one of my favourite turn based games.

BRILL! I cant remember how much of my life was given up to this, one campaign could take hours! I think I must have went through every mission and actually went back to others that I thought I could do better on. Graphics and sound were OK but the strategy element won the game over.

Too much luck involved. I employed the best strategies ever concieved of by a human, but a few unlucky rolls of the dice and it all went to shit. Really dull graphics and sound.

Eerie game to me.

Space Crusade is the computer version of the classic board game. The developers kept nearly all of the mechanics. I must say though that I felt the board game was more exciting. Graphics and sound are also a bit lacking. If you don't own the board game, I still recommend this Amiga version.

No Laser Squad, but solid fun in multi-player.

A good conversion of classic board game. Atmospheric sci-fi strategy action with nice graphics, sound effects and details. I lived through some fun and scary moments during the missions. Who could forget souls suckers?

A nice rendition of a great boardgame, it retained most of the rules, the mechanics and even the atmosphere of its tabletop ancestor. And above all, it had the Imperial Fists in it at a time when Games Workshop was already starting to forget'em...

I am a fan of the board game. This computer-version is a good conversion of that game. Graphics are good just as the sonics. It plays just like the original plastic-and-paper-game, so it's no action-packed shooter, but a turn-based game. Nice if you liked the original.
Graphics: 7/10
Sound: 6/10
Playability: 8/10
Overall: 7/10
