Technically the game is the same crap as The Tear Stone Saga (or maybe worse), the downsides are obvious:

• the aiming is difficult, there quite often happens you do shoot not to the direction you intend, but to the direction you lastly walked.
• When you shoot with water element missiles, they go outside of rooms (or caves) you are in and appear later when you enter that room you shoot to. When you shoot certain amount of shoots, you can not shoot again until you reach the room (or cave) you shoot from previous room, so you can be 5 or more minutes without possibility to shoot. The technical point of the game-play is really annoying.
• Also the black level with eggs was pretty weird, it was almost impossible to beat it, but finally we beat it by some random condition.

The Pros:

• Of course the music, it is obvious Viddi is a great composer, but not very good programmer.
• The game is difficult and I appreciate the difficulty level. It makes you to draw maps, otherwise you get lost. Sometimes it depends on details you have to touch or shoot (blue gems changing their color after interaction, cracks in the walls), otherwise the exit will not open.

We played this game together with a friend and we enjoyed the cooperation. Sometimes one missed something and the other discovered some hidden detail. One played, the other drew maps etc. This was probably the most amusing element of gaming for me.

The game we played was the 1.2 version but several times the game fell into Workbench with system message Out of memory. I recommend to decrease Workbench resolution and amount of colors to minimum or start the game with no Startup-Sequence just from shell.


I like when i beat a game to see some outro. When you beat Garlock you get just some small conversation and then advertisement of Vesalia, Alinea and several other shops. And the list of gold supporters.

I am happy we beat it, but don't want to return to this game anymore. Not because the story is bad, but because the technical design and bugs.
