The overall design is sound, and the two-player option does help, but the lack of animation of the main character and poor precision, for what is ultimately a shmup, sink this one. The allure of pixelated women attempts to cover up the lack of gameplay.

A really neat idea for an action game, with underwater and on foot stages which include fitting music, backgrounds and enemies for each stage, it seems like an awesome game, but this port is not that.
No continues at all, and that's unfortunate, because the enemies keep appearing from left and right continuously and it's much harder to deal with them during the underwater sections.
Graphics and sound are nothing special.
Quite weak overall.

@Patarival: And why was Medusa (from Marvel's Inhumans) in "Rings of Medusa" to begin with (aside from the joke I guess...)?

Hm, quite some negative comments. I started playing this one with my girl-friend and its really entertaining in the two-player mode, though sometimes unfair and a bit confusing when to many opponents are on the screeb. But you can make decent process plus it has a quite unique atmosphere & idead. Give it a try.

Why is Medusa from "Rings of Medusa" in the status box?

The Amiga version seems slightly censored. You don't get the "oh penis" sample when you die and the punk girls don't explode in a Thundercop-like blood bath.

The woman's face on the player selection screen is copied from a painting by Boris Vallejo.

This came with my A600 and it wasn't exactly a great introduction to amiga gaming. I thought it was repetitive, boring and too difficult. Some nice sounds and backdrops but not enough to make this a decent game

Sloppy designed, most times unfair gameplay, run-of-the-mill music and a terrible collision detection. (21%)

I remember playing the coin-op version a couple of times with mixed feelings.. Well that same spirit got me over when I played the A500 version but then again its an OK game for an hour or two.

As with many games, this game has good graphics, decent sound, a nice intro, but it suffers from very mediocre gameplay. There's nothing special here and because of the monotonous gameplay, boredom will set in pretty soon.

Graphics: 7/10
Sound: 7/10
Gameplay: 5/10

Overall: 6/10 :|
